hi. my great grandfather died of lung cancer in the 1990's. He and my great grandmother had 12 kids together and about 5 had cancer, but survived. But lately it's been too much. My grandmother died two years ago from stomach cancer. Now her sister is dying in the hospital at age 56 because the cancer is all over her body. Also, we found out recently that my grandma's other brother has cancer in his bone. But the doctors says his is treatable because it's in the beginning.
In my mother's generation one of her cousins had breast cancer because her mother (my grandma's sister is a breast cancer survivor). But she was the only case.
on my father's side, it's the same thing though. However my grandfather did not die from cancer, but a heart attack. His brothers however, i think about 2 out of 5 had cancer and died. And also only one case in my father's generation. This happens to be my aunt. She died fairly young before i was even born.
after this long story, my question is.... Can cancer be passed down from generation to generation? Especially in my case? :(
